Lloyd R. Griffin, Jr., Age 72, of Lafayette, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2004 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, Tennessee. The Davidson County, TN native was born Monday, October 12, 1931, a son of the late Lloyd R. Griffin, Sr. and Ora Lee Flys Griffin. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War and a truck driver. On November 11, 1967, he was united in marriage to Dean Sexton Griffin.

He is survived by his wife, Dean Sexton Griffin; 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Keith and Karie Griffin; Kelley Griffin; all of Lafayette, TN; a step-daughter and her husband, Dinah and Jim Ballard, Lafayette, TN; 2 step-sons and their wives, Randy and Judy Presley, Lafayette, TN; Bobby and Faye Presley, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; a brother and sister-in-law, Billy Wayne and Rondi Griffin, St. Louis, Missouri; a sister and brother-in-law, Deloris and Paul Gattis, Pascagoula, Mississippi; 6 grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren, and 10 step-great-grandchildren,

Funeral services for Lloyd R. Griffin, Jr. were conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 29, 2004 at Alexander-Goad Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Kirby officiating. Burial was in Macon County Memorial Gardens with military honors. Pallbearers were Jim Ballard, Juan Rios, Derrick George, Jonathon Doolin, Junior Evans, and Casey Stevens.
