TVA has informed Tri-County Electric that they will require two interruptions of power to our Hartsville Substation to replace a failed piece of equipment on the TVA transmission line.

During the first interruption of power, TVA plans to build a temporary feed around the failed switch. This action will allow TVA to repair the equipment while continuing to provide power to Tri-County Electric. The second will be to switch transmission back to the original line.

The two outages are scheduled as follows:

  • Midnight, Saturday night, October 23 until 4 a.m., Sunday morning, October 24th

  • Midnight, Saturday night, November 6th until 4 a.m. Sunday morning.

The Hartsville substation covers the majority of Trousdale County; Green Grove Road & Highway 141 in Macon County; and the portions of Castalian Springs and Dixon Springs in Tri-County's service area.

On behalf of TVA, Tri-County Electric apologizes for any inconvenience caused by these interruptions of power.
