Funeral services for Ralph Delmer Miller, age 88, of Macedonia Circle, Red Boiling Springs, TN, were conducted Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004, 2 p.m. from the chapel of Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs with Elder J.E. Shoulders and Elder Ken Graham officiating. Honorary pallbearers were his great-grandsons. Active pallbearers were Richard Miller, Kyle Miller, Nathan Miller, Tim Davenport, Danny Dozier, Charles Bowman, Tim Reeves and Mike Ward. Interment followed in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park with Military Honors.

Ralph Miller passed away Thursday afternoon, Dec. 23, 2004 at Knollwood Manor in Lafayette, TN.

A native of Macon County, he was the son of the late Grover and Flora Bartley Miller. On Sept. 9, 1942, he was married to the former Bonnie Collins, who survives. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Anthony Miller; sister, Estelle Key; and brothers, Doyle, Truman, Blane and Jennings Miller. He served as a Deacon at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church for 47 years, was a World War II veteran, member of the VFW Post 185 in Lafayette and a farmer.

Survivors besides his wife of 62 years include daughters: Patricia (Cortez) Sadler, Red Boiling Springs, Shirley (Thomas) Davenport, Lafayette; sons, Stanley (Brenda) Miller, Red Boiling Springs, Robert (Dianne) Miller, Lafayette, Dennis Miller, Flippin, KY; sisters, Ruby Keeling & Irene Brooks, Portland; brothers, Ray Miller, Franklin, KY, Paul Miller, Hartsville, Kenneth Miller, Portland; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
