Lillie Bell Mandrell, age 71, of Lafayette, TN, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, TN. The Macon County, TN native was born August 1, 1933, a daughter of the late Edd Meador and Irene Jenkins Meador. She was a retired inspector in garment manufacturing and a member of Oakdale General Baptist Church. On June 12, 1951, she was united in marriage to Roy Mandrell, who preceded her in death on July 8, 2000.

She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Carolyn Mandrell, Lisa and Ricky Dennis, all of Lafayette, TN; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Phillip Roy Mandrell, Danny Lee and Margie Mandrell, all of Lafayette, Michael and Jennifer Mandrell, Westmoreland; a sister, Elsie Jean Mince, Westmoreland; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services for Lillie Bell Mandrell were conducted Friday, January 21, 2004, 10 a.m. at Alexander-Goad Funeral Home with Rev. W.L. Meador and Rev. Raymond Adcock officiating. Burial was in Macon County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Lonnie Douglas, Donnie Miller, Eddie Wilson, Tony Fuqua, Ray Mince and Quinton Mandrell.

Alexander-Goad Funeral Home in Lafayette, TN was in charge of arrangements.
