Funeral services for Debbie Jo Hooten Collins, age 43, of the Hermitage Springs Community in Clay County, TN, were conducted Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs with Gene Carter, O'Neal Huffines and Stan Hensley officiating. Pallbeareres were Eric Hooten, Rocky Hooten II, Derrick Hooten, Brad Knight, Eric Caldwell, Tommy Newman, Clay Whitaker, Jeff Collins. Interment followed in the Clark Cemetery.

Debbie Jo Hooten Collins was pronounced dead on arrival Saturday evening, July 2, 2005 at Cumberland River Hospital in Celina.

A native of Sumner County, TN, she was the daughter of Joe and Sybile Raines Hooten of the Goosehorn Community. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Samantha Hix. On May 28, 1994, she was married to Phillip Collins, who survives. She was a logger and a member of North Springs Church of Christ.

Survivors besides her husband and parents include daughters: Kina (John) Pruitte, Goosehorn Community, Alicia (Sammy Joe) Atkins, Red Boiling Springs; sister, Penny (Randall) Goad; brothers, Ricky (Laura) Hooten, Rocky (Debbie) Hooten, Patrick Hooten, all of the Goosehorn Community, Mike (Linda) Hooten, Lafayette; granddaughter, Olivia Atkins; grandson, Jacob Atkins, both of Red Boiling Springs; father and mother-in-law, Delbert & Patricia Collins, Hermitage Springs.
