Parks and Recreation to have clean-up day
The Parks and Recreation Association will hold a clean-up day Saturday, Mar. 18, at 8 a.m., on the two softball fields located behind Central Elementary School in preparation for the 2006 season of girls' softball. Volunteers who wish to participate are welcome. Please bring yard tools and large size garbage bags to the event.

National Poison Prevention Week Mar. 19-25
Macon County General Hospital will host a Poison Prevention Program Thursday, March 23, at 5 p.m. Lynne Knight, Extension Agent, will provide information about poisons and poison prevention. The Lafayette Elementary PTO is now selling video scrapbooks on DVD. If you are interested, please contact your child's teacher. The cost is $15. No extras will be made. The last day to order will be Mar. 24.
