2x2 Ranch and Refuge is hosting a pet adoption day at the Petting Barn at the Macon County Fairgrounds June 24, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Adoption fee and completed application required.

RBS Class of 1996 reunion June 24

The Red Boiling Springs High School graduating class of 1996 will have a reunion Saturday, June 24, at 1 p.m. at the old Red Boiling Springs City Park. Everyone is asked to bring a dish of your choice. Come and enjoy the day. If anyone has any questions please call 572-4528.

Diabetes Group to meet June 26

The Diabetes Group will be held at the Macon County General Hospital Diabetes Center at 420C College Street in Lafayette on Monday, June 26, beginning at 6 p.m. This is free to the public and everyone is invited to attend. We will see you there.

Special called meeting of the Macon County Commission

There will be a special called meeting of the Budget Committee beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, June 26, followed at 7:30 by a special called meeting of the Body as a Whole.

Laf. City Council to meet June 27

The Lafayette City Council will have a special called meeting Tuesday, June 27, at 6 p.m.

Makin' Macon Fit to meet June 28 and July 26

Makin' Macon Fit will meet June 28, and July 26, at Macon County General Hospital at 8 a.m. All committee members are urged to attend. The event date is set for Sat., September 9.

The Macon County Board of Education will meet Thursday, June 29, at 6 p.m. at the central office.

Macon County Democratic Party to meet July 6

The Macon County Democratic Party will meet Thursday, July 6, at 7 p.m. at the Justice Center. Please attend for discussion of important August Election issues.

MCBOE to offer in service

The Macon County Board of Education will offer an in-service Monday, July 17, titled No Bullying to provide information to help school personnel teach and deal with this issue. Two classes will be offered with the 1st being 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 and the 2nd being 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. It will be held at the Macon County Junior High Auditorium.

UCHRA commodities distribution June 23

The UCHRA will hold a commodities distribution for Macon County Friday, June 23. In Lafayette the distribution will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the UCHRA Office located at 607 Highway 52 By-Pass and distribution will be held in Red Boiling Springs from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at City Hall.
