Revival services beginning at Old Paths Aug. 24

Old Paths Missionary Baptist Church, Smyrna, TN would like to invite everyone to revival services beginning Thursday, Aug. 24, at 7 p.m. Elder Rick Hall will assist Pastor Elder Tom Carter.

Hamburger sale with proceeds going to Diabetes research

A hamburger sale will be held at Piggly Wiggly Saturday, Aug. 26, 9:30-2 p.m. with all proceeds going to the research for a cure for Diabetes. Dell computers will match the proceeds 80%. Registration is at 8:30 and the walk is set to start at 10 a.m.

Barren Co. Gospel Singing Sat., August 26th

The Barren Co. Gospel Singing Association will have gospel singing, Saturday night, August 26th, at 6:30 p.m. in the Highland Commons Shopping Center in Glasgow. Working day at Oakdale Cemetery Aug. 26

Anyone having friends or family at Oakdale Cemetery, there will be a working day on the cemetery, Saturday, Aug. 26, at 8 a.m. Topsoil needs to be put on some of the graves.

Carter Automotive (Federal-Mogul) reunion Aug. 26

A Carter Automotive Reunion will be held Saturday, Aug. 26 at 10:30 a.m. at the Ray Goad Building, located at the Macon Co. Fairgrounds. All former employees and families are welcome. Scholarship benefit Aug. 26

Pleasant Grove Community Club will host a scholarship benefit singing Saturday, Aug. 26, at 6 p.m. until ? Proceeds going toward one or more of 2007 Westmoreland High School graduates college fees. Refreshments will be available for purchase. Admission is $3 single and $5 couple, children 6 and under free with paid adult.

Fall Term begins at TN Tech in Hartsville

Two Hunters Ed Courses in September

Two separate Hunter's Ed. courses will be held in September. The first classes will be September 11, 12, 14 and 15 with live fire on the 16th. Remember you must attend classes all week to be certified. The second class will be Sept. 25, 26, 28, and 29 with live fire on the 30th. The classes will be held at Lafayette Elementary School on Meador Drive in Lafayette. Times will be 6-9 p.m. each night. Students age 10 preferred, age 9 accepted. RBS First Baptist Church to open preschool program

Red Boiling Springs First Baptist Church is opening new preschool program for children age 4+ who will be entering Kindergarten next year. Registration will be Monday, Aug. 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. The times for the preschool will be from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. There will be no charge to attend. TABE Test Sept. 21

Those interested in seeking admission to the Patient Care Technician program at the Tennessee Technology Center at Hartsville must take the TABE test. The test will be administered on the Hartsville campus on Thursday, Sept. 21, at 9 a.m. Please arrive by 8:45 a.m. There is no cost to take the test.
