Funeral Services for Sybile Raines Hooten, age 73, of the Goosehorn Community in Macon County, TN were conducted Friday morning, October 20, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of the Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN with O'Neal Huffines officiating. Interment followed in the Clark Cemetery. Her pallbearers were Rocky Hooten II, Eric Hooten, Ryan Hooten, T.J. Stafford, Derrick Hooten, Daniel Hooten, Ethan Hooten and A.J. Garber.

Sybile Hooten passed away Tuesday evening, October 17, 2006 at the University Medical Center in Lebanon, TN.

She was born March 18, 1933 in Jackson County, TN, the daughter of the late George and Bessie Jones Raines. On July 23, 1954, she married Joe Hooten, who survives. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie Jo Hooten Collins; sister, Verda Gipson; brother, Larry Raines, Sr.; granddaughter, Samantha Hix and great-granddaughter, Bailey Garber. She was a Cook at Red Boiling Springs School for 6 years, a CNA at The Palace for 5 years and a member of the North Springs Church of Christ.

Survivors besides her husband of 52 years include: daughter, Penny (Randall) Goad; sons, Ricky (Laura) Hooten, Rocky (Debbie) Hooten, Patrick Hooten all of the Goosehorn Commun-ity, Mike (Linda) Hooten, Lafayette; son-in-law, Phillip Collins, Hermitage Springs Community; sister, Ruth (Bobby) Dale, Hilham; brother, Milton (Loretta) Raines, Hilham; 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
