The MCHS Volleyball team entered the District Tournament which was held at Station Camp, seeded 3rd with an 8 win and 2 loss record. On October 10th at 3:30 the Tigerettes played Trousdale County and defeated the Yellow Jackets 25-23, 25-17 and 25-19. Stats for the match were: Kills - Holly Compton 15, Serves - Natalie Tuck 19; Blocks - Kara Wix 3; Dinks - Emily Sullivan, Amy Spears and Brooke Bowers 8; Passes - Holly Compton 33; Sets - Brooke Bowers 37.

The Volleyball team advanced to the Semi Finals on October 12th. At 6 p.m., the Tigerettes hit the floor strong bnut fell short of the win against Portland. Scores were: Macon County 25-14, Macon County 15-25, Macon County 19-25 and Macon County 20-25. Stats for that match were: Serves - Jordan White 25; Blocks - Kara Wix 11; Dinks - Brooke Bowers 15; Passes - Holly Compton 56; Kills - Holly Compton 30; Sets - Amy Spears 53.

The Tigerettes were very proud to have the MVP of the District given to Holly Compton. Macon County also had two players named All District, Jordan White and Amy Spears. Receiving All - Tournament for Macon County was Holly Compton.

The MCHS Volleyball team played 35 matches during the season and only lost 6 making their season record 29 wins, 6 losses. The Tigerettes took 1st place in the Macon County Invitational Tournament and 2nd place in the White Co. Tournament.

Coach Shari Bowers and the Volleyball team would like to thank the parents for all their help and support through the season.
