“Mark and I have been friends for a long time, and we still are,” the Chief Deputy asserted. “I'd like to stop any rumors that might be flying around that there is any trouble between Mark and me, because there's not.”
He has been proud to serve as Sheriff Gammons' Chief Deputy, but just feels he cannot pass up this opportunity to return to the THP, Fisher reports.
“Danny has been a great help, and he will be missed,” Sheriff Mark Gammons said. “At the same time, I am excited for him being able to have an opportunity to step forward,” the Sheriff added, explaining that Fisher will be returning to a THP position better than the one he left, when he joined the Sheriff's Department.
“Danny is a good friend, and this door will always be open for him,” Sheriff Gammons declared.
No decision has been made, at this time, about filling the Chief Deputy position Fisher will vacate, according to the Sheriff.
“I want to assure everybody in the County that I will make a good decision, and the new Chief Deputy will be well qualified for the job,” Sheriff Gammons concluded.
