She is survived by her husband, Daniel Carlson; daughters, Kristy (Frederico) Osoria and Sarah Carlson; son, Todd Carlson; and a granddaughter, Catherine Maya Osoria, all of Lakeworth, Florida.
Virginia is also survived by her parents, Mitchell & Bertha Carter Copas of Hermitage Springs, TN; sister, Kathryn (Roger) Langford of Red Boiling Springs, TN; and brothers, Jerry (Pam) Copas of Smyrna, TN and Brad (Melissa) Copas of Hermitage Springs, TN.
Virginia was a 1968 graduate of Hermitage Springs High School. She attended Tenn. Tech University until 1971. She married Daniel Carlson and moved to Lakeworth where she completed her BS degree in education. She taught a few years in the West Palm Beach school district. After having their children, she became a “stay at home mom” until her children were school age. She returned to work for the West Palm Beach school district in the payroll department and was working until her death.
She was a member of the church of Christ. She attended worship service at the Suncoast church of Christ in Lakeworth, FL.
