Two teenagers died and one adult was injured in a one vehicle accident Saturday night , March 17, at approximately 9:53 pm. The vehicle was traveling west bound near the bottom of Walker Hill on Hwy. 52 near Celina, Tennessee.
No official THP accident report was available, but from reports from the scene, and provided by Beth Hall, reporter for the Clay Citizen-Statesman, it appears that the silver Ford F-250 crossed into the east bound lane and collided with the guard rail, which caused the vehicle to flip, roll over several times and catch on fire.
All three individuals riding in the pickup truck were ejected from the vehicle. When..
emergency personnel arrived, the fatally injured youths were transported to the Cumberland River Hospital.
Tyler Alan Anderson, 15, and Ethan Franklin, 16, were pronounced dead on arrival at the Celina hospital. Jared Hale, 21, was air lifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center with multiple injuries.
Details of the tragic fatal accident are still under investigation by Tennessee Highway Patrol Tpr. Gary Garrison and Sgt. William “Butch” Avera.
Tyler Anderson was a freshman at Clay County High School.
He was born on January 30, 1990 to Barry Alan and Tonya Smith
Anderson. Tyler had one sister, Kelsey Anderson. The family resides in the McCormick Ridge Community of Clay County.
Ethan Franklin was a sophomore at Hermitage Springs High School. He
was born on December 26, 1990, to Dale and Sharon Stafford Franklin. Ethan had one sister, Whitney Franklin and one brother, Matt Franklin. They all reside in the Union Hill Community of Clay .
Jared Hale is reported to have been treated for his injuries and was released from Vanderbilt Medical Center on Sunday, March 18.
