Lovie McLerran was born in the Moss community on May 20, 1930 to Willie and Flora G. Denton Armer. She was affiliated with the Church of Christ. Lovie was a cafeteria worker for Celina K-8 School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Louis McLerran; son, Louis Lynn McLerran; granddaughter, Shannon McLerran; sisters, Jewell McBride and Mertie Smith; and brothers, Samuel Armer and Delbert Armer.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Joan Marie (Butch) Burnette of Celina, TN and Joy Frances (James) Key of Celina, TN; daughter-in-law, Carol McLerran of Lafayette, TN; sisters, Wealtha Strong of Moss, TN, Elise Moore of Westmoreland, TN, Lassie Short of Gallatin, TN, Ruby Odle of Little Rock, AR, and Essie Smith of Whitleyville, TN; 8 grandchildren, Joseph (Heather) Burnette of Celina, TN, Amanda (Kelly) Spivey of Celina, TN, Derrick Key of Cookeville, TN, Chris Key of Cookeville, TN, Isaac McLerran of Lafayette, TN, Alicia McLerran of Lafayette, TN, Weylon McLerran of Hawaii, and Cameron McLerran of Lafayette, TN; 6 great-grandchildren, and special friend, Randell Lewis Walker of Tompkinsville, KY.
