She is survived by five sons, Duel Cherry of Fountain Run, KY, Dennis Cherry of Nashville, TN, Dale (Vickie) Cherry of Lafayette, TN, Doyle Cherry of Gamaliel, KY, and David (Patty) Cherry of Gamaliel, KY; three daughters, Joyce (Jim) Hudson of Bowling Green, KY, Judy (David) Hatcher of Gamaliel, KY, and Jan (Jeff) Browning of Glasgow, KY; a sister, Opal Crawford of Indianapolis, IN; two half-brothers, Mitchell Coons of Cleveland, TN and Princeton Coons of Red Boiling Springs, TN; and 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 1 step-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Don A. Cherry, a grandson, Neal Cherry, four brothers, Buford, Clifton, Edward, and Leslie Coons, two sisters, Bertha Crawford and Gertrude Hatcher, two half-sisters, Suzette Dixon and Annette York, and two half-brothers, Tony and Clovis Coons, and her step-mother, Wilma Biles. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, June 22, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Strode's Gamaliel Chapel. Dan Lewis officiated. Burial was at the Gamaliel Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mark Cherry, Shane Cherry, Ryan Cherry, Drey Cherry, Devin Cherry, and Rad Hudson.
