MCHS Tigers lose first home game to Westmoreland Eagles 20-14

The Macon County Tigers played their first home game of the season last Friday night against the Westmoreland Eagles.

In the first quarter of the game, both teams offense couldn't find the end zone.

In the second quarter, the Eagles scored a touchdown with a 7 yard run by Brian Wix with the kick by C.J. Ragland. They then scored another touchdown with a 17 yard run by Austin Freeman with the kick by C.J. Ragland to get ahead of the Tigers 14-0 at half time.

Coming back from half time, Tigers Jeremiah Hackert scored a touchdown with a 27 yard pass from Kyle Grace and also made the field goal to make the score at the end of the third 14-7.

In the fourth quarter, the Tigers scored another touchdown with a 4 yard pass from Kyle Grace to Lance Reid and the kick by Jeremiah Hackert to tie the game 14-14 taking the game into overtime.

The Tigers got the ball first in overtime and was unable to score. The Eagles scored a touchdown with a 2 yard run play up the middle by Brian Wix to end the game 20-14, Eagles taking the victory.

The Tigers had 9 first downs. Chris Bohanon had 2 carries for 1 yard, Christian Crabtree had 10 carries for 34 yards, Kyle Grace had 21 carries for 53 yards, and Allen Whitaker had 1 carry for 3 yards. Kyle Grace had 6 completions for 43 yards with 2 interceptions.
