Weather permitting, TVA has scheduled two power outages at the Lafayette Primary Substation. The first outage will begin at 11:59 p.m. on Saturday night, September 15 and will last approximately 1 hour. This outage is in preparation for the 2nd outage which is planned for Saturday night, September 22, beginning at 11:59 p.m. This power outage will last approximately four hours. Power is expected to be restored by 4:00 a.m. Sunday morning. The outages will affect all of Macon County with the exception of the western portion and the Hermitage Springs area of Clay County. This is TVA's final planned outage for the transformers.
