This week, RBS had homecoming activitie. In the past, we have never won a game on the day of the parade, so it was nice that we were able to pull this one out. Jackson County played a tough game, and we had many more errors than normal, but we played well enough to get the win.

Gordonsville is undoubtedly the toughest team we face in district play.
They do everything well. Tonight, we just made too many mistakes. Looking at the stats, we were not as productive offensively as we should have been, and our defense had some real trouble stopping Gordonsville's offense. Even though we are no longer undefeated, we are still tied for number one in the district, and our overall record this season is 9 and 1.
I can live with that.
We just have to work a little harder so that we don't let this happen again.

Commentary: Notes from Coach Chad Butler.
Overall, we played extremely well, especially coming after the loss to Gordonsville Thursday night. Offensively, we were consistently productive, and we had only a few minor problems defensively, all of which can be addressed in practice this week. We did drop one game in the final match against Jackson County, but the players were able to pull themselves up after the dropped game and play some really good volleyball. We averaged about 10 kills per game, and even though that is lower than our season average of 14 kills per game, I'm still pleased because we faced some tough competition. This is the first tournament in which we have placed first. Hopefully, we can use this to add some momentum to our game to help us improve for the rest of the season.
