This past Saturday we were able to have all of our teams to be able to play once again. Our 1st game of the day had the Tigers winning over the Bucs 20-6. For the Tigers, Homer Tirjan had 206 yards, 2 TD's and a 2-point conversion; Taylor Carman had 66 yards, 2 tackles and 1 TD; Logan Hewitt had 4 tackles and Shane Whitefield had 3 tackles and Tanner Cleary and Drew Wilmore had 2 tackles each. There were no stats turned in for the Bucs.

The 2nd game of the day had the Little Vols winning over the Little Titans 32-6. For the Vols, Cayden Shrum had 97 yards, 2 TD's and a 2-point conversion; Jason Sewell had 91 yards, 1 TD and a 2-point conversion; Hunter Dickens had 50 yards, 1 TD and a 2-point conversion; Dylan Duffer had 11 yards and a 2-point conversion; Simon Freeman had 5 tackles; and Gage Gregory and Blake Meadors had 3 tackles each. For the Titans, Austin Shelton had 42 yards and 1 TD; Isaac Grant had 6 tackles; Jordan Presley, Austin Linander and Stephen Lancaster all had 3 tackles each.

The 3rd game of the day had the Big Vols winning over the Cowboys 7-6. For the Vols, Eric Ruiz had 29 yards, 1 TD and 7 tackles; Austin Williams had 26 yards and 7 tackles; Remid Medina had 6 tackles and Collin Janawsky had 3 tackles. For the Cowboys, Austin Craighead had 91 yards rushing, 49 yards passing and 7 tackles; Steven Dell'Aquila had 51 yards; Kameron Dyer had 22 yards and 4 tackles; Ty Tuck had 15 yards rushing, 49 yards receiving had 5 tackles; and Hayden Manion had 6 tackles.

The 4th game of the day had the Dolphins winning over the Big Titans 15-12. For the Dolphins, Corey Crawford had 68 yards and 7 tackles; Dale Turner had 29 yards rushing and 20 yards receiving; Trey Reid had 26 yards, 1 TD and an extra point; Kristopher Boone had 20 yards in passing and 10 yards rushing; Kurtis Butcher had 20 yards passing, 4 tackles and a 2-point conversion and Brandon Harris had 5 tackles and a fumble recovery for a TD. For the Titans, Lucas Ward had 119 yards, 2 TD's and 12 tackles; Dakota Dickens had 21 yards rushing and 7 tackles; Joseph Knight had 6 tackles and Jeffery Maynard had 4 tackles.

The 5th and final game had the Blue Raiders winning over the Seminoles 30-0. For the Raiders, Tate Gregory had 97 yards, and 1 TD; Shane Hesson had 83 yards and 2 extra points; Carson Cook had 69 yards and 2 TD's; Matt Austin with 23 yards and 4 tackles; Mayson Shrum with 18 yards and a 2-point reception conversion; Peyton Clark with 15 yards, 1 TD and a 2-point reception conversion; and D J Linville with 3 tackles. For the Seminoles, Logan Grace had 25 yards rushing, 12 yards passing and 3 tackles; Cole Dixon had 14 yards; Hunter Anderson had 6 yards and 4 tackles; Hunter Williams had 12 yards receiving; and Christopher Mickle had 5 tackles.

On a personal note: Both the MCJHS and the MCHS Tigers are off this week. They will play again next week. One thing this community must do is show your support for these two teams and the coaches. They need that more than anything else. We must stay behind them and stand up for them because this is the only way we can show our support for all of the young men on these teams.
