Well soccer is over for one more year in Macon County. I hope everyone had a great time. We had around 400 children to play in the spring season and around 300 in the fall season. We had some players from Westmoreland, Hartsville, Red Boiling Springs, from 4 years old to 17 years old.

We try to make it fun for the children to play. The parents enjoy watching their children have fun and they also make new friends while learning the game of soccer.

We have boys and girls soccer team in junior high school.This will be the third season for the boy's team and the girls just finished their second season. I can see that they are getting better and better thanks to all the coaches at the Macon County Soccer League. They are learning the game better, so they can teach the player how it should be played.

I want to thank them for that and for volunteering to coach. With out you we could not have a league, thanks again.

To the referee's thanks for keeping the games played like it is suppose to be played. I know it is not easy to do, but keep up the great work. Most people do not know what all the referee has to do. The 16 hours of training, 100 question closed book test and then 6 hour training and a 50 question closed book each year after that. We had some new young referee's this year and they done a great job this year. See you all in the spring's league.

I want to thank Carl Dobbs and his family in doing a great job with the concession stand. I want to thank the fair board for letting us use the field. I want to thank all the business's that helped us this year. I also want to thank the soccer board for doing a great job this year.

You all made my job easy. A lot of people do not know what the soccer board does. Like meet one time a month and fix problems and make plans for the next season. Decide where the money will come from, ordering uniforms trophies and anything else that needs to be done. Keep up the good job.
