Funeral Services for Carolyn Hix, age 67, of Lafayette, TN were conducted Sunday afternoon, December 2, 2007 at 12:00 noon from the chapel of the Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette, TN with Elder J. B. Shoulders officiating. Interment followed in the Macon County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Delton Hix, Nelson Hix, Roger Hix, Ronnie Hix, Ray Hix, Delbert Hix, Cathy Hix, Phillip Hix, Freddie Hix, and Mark Hix.

Carolyn Hix passed away Friday, November 30, 2007 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

She was born April 16, 1940 in Coleman, Texas, the daughter of the late Fred R. and Linnie Grace Rutledge Cummings. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son George Jent. Carolyn was a paralegal with McClerran & Strong Law Office in Lafayette, and a member of Coleman Baptist Church in Coleman Texas.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Hix; children, Cindy (Jamie) Perrigo, Alecia (Barry) King of Lafayette, TN, Barbara (Ronnie) Jones of Mt. Juliet, TN; grandchildren, Bailey & Tori King of Lafayette, TN and Jacinda & Terreck Jones of Mt. Juliet, TN; sister, Norma Woodard of Marble Falls, TX; and special nieces and nephews.
