Funeral services for Mrs. Reba Butler Holmes, age 90, of Westmoreland, were held Sunday, Jan. 20th at 1 p.m. from Lakeside Church in Westmoreland with Bro. Wayne Hall and Bro. Leon Graves officiating. Interment was in Dixon Springs Cemetery in Dixon Springs, TN.

Mrs. Holmes passed away Thursday, January 17, 2008.

She was the daughter of the late Wig and Versie Lee Butler. Mrs. Holmes was a member of Lakeside Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jewell Conditt Holmes; two daughters, Jewell Edward Holmes and Helen Moss; sister, Charlene Snoody; brothers, Mac Butler and Ed Butler; and a son-in-law, Charles Simpson.

Survivors include 4 daughters, Martha Tinsley of Hartsville, Brenda Simpson of Gallatin, Melba York of Westmoreland, and Wanda Wade of Gallatin; 8 sons, Wig Shepard Holmes of Westmoreland, Wendell Holmes of Westmoreland, Johnny M. Holmes of Gastin, Alabama, Jerry Holmes of Lebanon, Jimmy Holmes of Pinhurst, North Carolina, Thomas Holmes of Westmoreland, Larry Holmes of Portland, and Willie Holmes of Westmoreland; brothers, George Butler of Gallatin, E.H. Butler of Knoxville, Bethel Butler of Illinois, and Bobby Butler and Audrey Butler, both of Gallatin; and a sister, Wanda Rice of Crossville, TN.
