The Macon County Tigers and Tigerettes took on the Clay County Bulldogs for their homecoming game last Friday, January 25th.

In the first quarter of the girl's game, Katelyn Gregory scored 2 points, and Courtney Clark scored 4 points. The Bulldogs scored 5 points making the score 6-5 at the end of the first, the Tigerettes taking the lead.

During the second quarter, Karaline Shoulders and Kara Wix each scored 2 points. The Bulldogs scored 6 points during the second making the score 11-10, the Bulldogs taking the lead.

Coming back from half time, Courtney Clark scored 4 points, and Brooke Bowers scored 3 points. The Bulldogs scored 16 points during the third making the score 27-17, the Bulldogs still in the lead.

In the final quarter of the game, Brooke Bowers, Sarah Belton, and Karaline Shoulders each scored 3 points. Katelyn Gregory scored 5 points, and Kristin Gregory scored 2 points. The Bulldogs scored 11 points in the fourth quarter making the final score of the game 38-33, the Bulldogs taking the victory.

During the first quarter of the boy's game, Austin Kemp, and Adam Chambers each scored 2 points, and Brandon Tuttle scored 4 points. The bulldogs scored 12 points to make the score 12-8 at the end of the first, the Bulldogs taking the lead.

In the second quarter of the game, Cody Boone, Brett West, and Jeremy Phillips each scored 2 points, and Coty Harris scored 4 points. The Bulldogs scored 11 points making the score 23-18 at half time, the Bulldogs still in the lead.

Coming back to the third quarter, Kyle Grace and Cody Boone each scored 4 points. Adam Chambers, Jeremy Phillips, and Joseph Woodward each scored 2 points. The Bulldogs scored 13 points making the score 36-32, the Bulldogs still ahead.

In the fourth quarter of the game, Cody Boone and Jeremy Phillips each scored 4 points. Brett West scored 5 points, and Brandon Tuttle scored 3 points. The Bulldogs scored 10 points making the score 48-48, sending the game into overtime.

In the first overtime, Kyle Grace scored 2 points. Cody Boone scored 3 points, and Jeremy Phillips scored 1 point. The Bulldogs scored 6 points making the score 54-54, sending the game into another overtime.

The Macon County Tigers and Tigerettes took on the Smith County Owls last Tuesday, January 22nd.
