TVA has informed Tri-County Electric that, weather permitting, they will interrupt power to the Hartsville Substation on two separate occasions to finish repairing damage caused by the recent tornado to their transmission system.

All areas served by the Hartsville substation, including Hartsville in Trousdale County; Castalian Springs in Sumner County; and Green Grove and part of New Harmony Road in Macon County, will be affected by the outages.

The first interruption of power will occur on Saturday night, February 23rd beginning at 11:59 p.m. and will be used to isolate the tap structure to allow TVA to complete repair work on the transmission lines. Power is expected to be restored by 4:00 a.m. Sunday morning.

TVA has scheduled the second outage on Saturday night, March 8th. This outage will also begin at 11:59 p.m. and will allow TVA to bring the repaired transmission lines and tap structure back into service. TVA expects to have power restored by 4:00 a.m. on Sunday morning, March 9th.

On behalf of TVA, Tri-County Electric thanks you for your patience and apologizes for any inconvenience caused by this interruption of power
