The macon County High School boys soccer team hosted Friendship Christian on Thursday, March 20, losing the game 1-0.

In the first half of the game, Macon County's Ben Cook placed the ball inside the goal.

Macon County fans were cheering with high spirits until the referee called the play invalid. Cook had apparently made the kick from off-side. And by the end of the period, the game was tied at zero.

With 17:38 on the clock in the second half, Friendship Christian was able to finally kick the ball past goalie Joey Corso. As the ball was kicked, Corso quickly leaped into the air to the right side of the net. The ball barely missed his foot and slammed into the net. The Commanders claimed a 1-0 victory over Macon County.

There are no soccer games scheduled March 26 - March 30 on account of Spring Break. Games will resume Thursday, April 3 against Merrol Hyde Magnet School. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
