The driver and passenger of a motorcycle that crashed on Jack Porter Road this afternoon were treated for injuries.

According to investigating officer, THP Trooper Danny Fisher, the driver, Howard Garvin, was flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center by Lifeflight, while his female passenger was transported from the scene by Macon County EMS with what appeared to be minor injuries.

Trooper Fisher says speed appears to be a factor in the crash, which occurred while Garvin was traveling around a curve.

He appears to have entered the curve too quickly, causing the motorcycle to run into a fence.

Both Garvin and his passenger were then ejected from the motorcycle.

More details in next week's edition of the Macon County Times.
