Funeral Services for Mr. G. C. Rush, age 74, of Pea Ridge Community in Clay County, TN were held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 26, 2012 at Upton Funeral Home with Jeff Greene, Jack Honeycutt and Vernon Groce officiating interment to follow in the Watson Cemetery. Visitation with the family was held from 1:00 – 9:00 p.m. Sunday and after 9:00 a.m. Monday till service time at 1:00 p.m. at Upton Funeral Home.

Mr. G.C. Rush passed away Friday, March 23, 2012 at Cookeville Regional Hospital in Cookeville, Tennessee.

G. C. Ruch was born February 4, 1938 in Cumberland County, Kentucky to the late Grover and Minnie (Thacker) Rush. He was preceded in death by an infant sister. G.C. married Bernice Watson on August 1, 1964.

Mr. Rush was retired from the Clay County Highway Department and was an Army Veteran.

He is survived by his Wife, Bernice (Watson) Rush of the Pea Ridge Community in Clay County; Daughter and son-in-law, Tammy (David) Hunter of Cookeville, Tennessee; Brothers, James Rush of Louisville, Kentucky, Earl (Alyne) Rush of Burkesville, Kentucky, and Lawrence (Martha) Rush; Grandchildren; Brittany Bradford of Cookeville, Tennessee, Meagan Hunter of Knoxville, Tennessee, Emily and Haley Hunter of Cookeville, Tennessee, Great Grandchildren; Connor and Lily Bradford of Cookeville, Tennessee.

Serving as pallbearers were Jerry Watson, Michael Watson, Cecil Hogan, Johnny Brewington, Randy Groce, Johnny Boles and Ronnie Webb
