Palace Care and Rehab of Red Boiling Springs recently hosted its annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon. “Some do individual volunteer work and other volunteers come as a group. Their contribution is multi-faceted and meet many personal needs of our population,” said volunteer coordinator Jayne Hinson.

Volunteer work in a health care facility may include individual room visits, reading, crafts, aromatherapy, hand massages, and pet therapy. Group volunteer programs may include hosting parties, musical events, and games. “The list of possibilities is long and only limited by the interests and time of the volunteer,” said Hinson. “We love it when volunteers identify a need and make suggestions for additional ideas for our volunteer program.”

“We wanted them to know that we are thankful for their work on a daily basis and we truly appreciate you everyday,” Hinson said during the gathering. For information about becoming a Palace Volunteer, contact Jayne Hinson or Jeannie Asberry at 615-699-2238.
