UT Extension “Babysitting Rocks” class was held on July 25, 2012. The class taught the babysitters health and safety, nutrition, child development, activities, and professionalism as it relates to babysitting. The next class will be held on November 6, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Class is open to youth ages 13-18 with a fee of $30.00. Fee covers lunch, Babysitter’s Activity Bag, first-aid kit, materials for activities, and Certificate of Completion.

Youth will be engaged in learning activities all day to give them a better understanding of babysitting topics. Registration is required and the first 15 participants will be accepted for this class. To register for the class, call the UT Extension office at 666-3341 or email Lynne Knight at lknight3@utk.edu.
