Macon County High School’s Theatrical Department is presenting a production of Steel Magnolias this weekend—brought to you by the producers of this year’s The Wizard of Oz.
Steel Magnolias, a stage play made famous by the 1989 screen adaption starring Dolly Parton and Julia Roberts, is a heartwarming comedy/drama centered around the relationships between a small group of women in northwest Louisiana. Writer Robert Harling has said that it is based on his experiences with the death of his sister.
Admission will be $6; the play will be held in the MCHS Auditorium. Showtimes are Friday and Saturday, the 19th and 20th, at 7 PM, and Sunday the 21st at 2 PM.
