Tuesday morning around 9 AM, a Ford Mustang convertable ran off the side of Hwy 10, about 5 miles south of the Hwy 10-Hwy 25 juncture. The Mustang’s fall was broken when it was caught in trees on the side of the steep incline, a few hundred yards above a creek.

Driver Danny Ray Smith was taken by ambulance to Macon County General Hospital with minor injuries, “shaken, but not badly hurt,” according to officer Larry West, who made out the accident report.
