On Monday night, December 3, Anderson Funeral Home in Lafayette held its annual Candlelight Remembrance Service. The event is intended to encourage and prepare those in Macon County who have lost loved ones in the past year.

“The holidays can be hard for them,” said Anderson proprietress Shirley Anderson, “so we do this for them early in the season so that after they sit and remember, and grieve again, maybe they will feel like they can go on and participate in the season.”

The program included a word from Bro. Gary Sullivan, singing by the Sullivan Family, and a candle lighting for participants. Refreshments were served afterwards.
