Latisha Jones, Fairest of the Fair for 2012, will be representing Macon County in the Tennessee Association of Fairs Convention on January 18. Jones is the daughter of Barry and Jennifer Wix, of the Wixtown community. She is a Nursing student at Volstate.

Jones will attend the convention with a chaperone and participate in a Most Photogenic competition, interviews, and a competition that involves each contestant decorating the door of her private hotel room to represent her county, in addition to regular pageantry. The convention draws contestants from county fairs all over Tennessee. For those who would like to come out and support, this pageant event will be held at 6 pm Friday, January 18 at the Nashville Airport Marriot Hotel, in the Cumberland Room.

The Macon County Fair Board wishes Jones a great fair.

Macon County will be participating in many other categories at the convention, and an awards ceremony will held Saturday night, the 19th, to announce those winners.
