A wreck involving an 87-year-old driver injured three people on Wednesday morning.
TN Trooper Danny Fisher said that Idle Forest Brandon, age 87, was headed E on Hwy 52 Bypass W near Frito Lay, when he attempted a u-turn in the middle of the road. He struck a 1997 Nissan driven by Sandra Fuqua, 39.
Brandon sustained the more serious injuries, said Fisher, and he was transported to Sumner Regional Medical Center. Fuqua and her daughter, Destiny, who was a passenger in her vehicle, were taken by private vehicle to Macon County General Hospital with minor injuries.
