Some 247 Tri-County Electric members experienced a power outage on Saturday afternoon. Residents in the Akersville area, Underwood area, and Antioch Church Road area were without power from exactly 3:48 p.m. to 6:48 p.m., said Tammy Dixon of Tri-County.
The issue was a recloser device that failed. Tri-county repair teams were dispatched immediately and worked quickly and efficiently to get the issue resolved, said Dixon. Some other members were without power for just a few minutes when the repair team had to take down a breaker at a substation in order to repair the recloser.
The lines are now back in working order.
