Two underage teenagers were taken by ambulance from a flip-over wreck on Heady Ridge Road on Monday afternoon. The 1999 Ford Explorer was driven by an underage male with an underage female passenger, headed south towards Red Boiling Springs.

Trooper Danny Fisher said the driver went slightly off the right side of the road, over corrected, veered to the left side of the road, over corrected, and then flipped while on the way back to the right. The two teens were able to extricate themselves from the wreck, and Fisher said that when he arrived, the female was lying nearby.

She was LifeFlighted from the helipad at Nestle Waters to Vanderbilt Medical Center; her exact condition was unknown at press time. The male sustained lesser injuries—abrasions on both arms from the glass, according to Fisher—and was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital.
