Connie Annette Blankenship, age 46, of Lafayette, TN, passed away Sunday morning, November 22. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, November 25th, at 11 a.m., from chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Terry Gillim officiating. Kole Cliburn and Christopher Harris served as Honorary Pallbearers. David Turner, Donnie Turner, Tony Turner, Devan Turner, Charles Cauthorne, Tyler Blankenship, Kyle Turner, and Morris Parks served as active pallbearers. Interment followed in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park.
She was born on February 14, 1963 in Macon County, TN, to her parents; Rondal B. and Hazel Dean Keith Blankenship.
Connie’s grandparents; Galie and Alta Keith, and Edgar and Dorothy Blankenship, preceded her in death.
She worked for Cathy’s Florist for about five years in the 90’s. Connie was very talented when it came to decorating, and loved working in flowers. She also was very good at writing and had several journals she had written in, expressing her thoughts and feelings.
Connie loved animals and had pets of her own; one dog that she thought a lot of was named “Tattoo”. She was free spirited, very kind hearted, but did not care to tell you how she felt. Her life involved going to ball games to watch her grandkids play and watching wrestling on television. Connie was of the Church of Christ belief. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Connie is survived by; mother, Dean Blankenship, father, R.B. Blankenship, daughter, Mendy and husband Todd Cliburn, son, Joel and wife Teresa Harris, brother, Mark and wife Judy Blankenship, nephew, Tyler Blankenship, grandkids, Kole and Chloe Cliburn, and Christopher and MaKayla Harris, all of Lafayette, TN.
Alexander Funeral Home, Directors, of Lafayette was in charge of arrangement.
