Otis "Ott" Benson Gregory was born on May 3, 1932 at his maternal grandparents home in Macon County, Tennessee. He was born to Ottis Cordell and Evell Gregory. Otis was the oldest of the three children born to Ottis and Evell. He had a brother, Dean and sister, Kay. On August 14, 1952, Otis was joined in holy matrimony to Agnes Juanita Earps in Nashville, Tennessee. The couple were blessed with two daughters, Debra Lois and Rebecca Ann.

In July of 1964, Otis was saved and baptized into Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church. He was a dedicated, faithful, and lifelong member of the church. He was a member of the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1953.

Ott and Juanita are blessed with two grandsons, Jamie Charles and Matthew Benson Kozderka. He was the warehouse manager of GE Supply Co. for 30 years before retiring in July of 1992. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Dean, and daughter, Debbie. He was a dedicated family man who always put his family before himself. He enjoyed working on his family genealogy and had an extensive knowledge of it. His other hobbies included working in his garden and collecting golf balls by the bucketful.

The lord called Otis Benson Gregory home to his eternal reward on Sunday, December 27, 2009 at 3:22 PM. Funeral services were conducted Thursday December 31, 2009 at 10 AM at Flanner and Buchanan at Floral Park. Elder James Gregory and Bro. Scott Hauskins officiated. Jamie Kozderka, Jason Kozderka, Larry Gammons, Mark Gammons, Scott Gammons, and Jerry Scurlock served as pallbearers. Internment was in Floral Park Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana.
