She was born in Trousdale County, Tennessee on June 27, 1952; she was one of nine children born to Fannie Belle Brown Tomlinson and the late Melvin Franklin Tomlinson.
Besides her father; one infant daughter, Jackie Rochelle White, sister, Barbara Sue Tomlinson, and a brother, Roger Lee Tomlinson, also preceded her in death.
Sandra was married to Jimmy D. White on June 23, 1973, sharing almost thirty-seven years together and three children; Jimmy survives.
She and Jimmy both worked for Texas Boot Company in Hartsville, TN for many years. Then she was employed by Wal-Mart in Lafayette; for the last ten years she had worked there, until recently becoming injured. Sandra loved her family and grandchildren; they were what gave her life. To be able to do something for her family is what made her happy. Sandra liked to be outdoors working in her flower garden, but since her wreck she had started reading. She was a member of the East Main Missionary Baptist Church.
Sandra will be greatly missed by her loving family and all who knew her. Besides her husband, Jimmy, she is survived by; sons, James E. and wife Shelly White of Smyrna, TN, and John D. White of Lafayette, TN, mother, Fannie Belle Tomlinson of Hartsville, TN, grandchildren, Jordan and Jacob White of Smyrna, TN, and Jayden and Jared White of Lafayette, TN, sisters, Brenda and husband Mike Fields, Donna and husband David Jones all of Lafayette, TN, and Lynn and husband Joe Johns of Hartsville, TN, brothers,
Bobby Tomlinson of Portland, TN, Gary and wife Barbara Tomlinson of Hartsville, TN, and Clifford F. Tomlinson of Lafayette, TN, and a host of nieces and nephews; also survive.
