Funeral Services for Brandon Lee Tidwell were conducted Friday morning, June 11, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. from the Red Boiling Springs High School Football Field in Red Boiling Springs with Elder Jeff Likens and Brother Kyle Reid officiating. Interment followed in the Scott Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers were all the coaches and players of the Red Boiling Springs High School Football Team. Active Pallbearers were Kason Wix, Shelton Watson, Nick Butrum, Chris Dziekiewicz, Halen Braswell and Brandon Kelley.
He was born Friday, December 2, 1994 in Sumner County, Tennessee, the son of Daniel Tidwell of Lafayette and the late Penny Hall Tidwell. In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, L.C. and Della Hall, and paternal grandfather, Bobby Tidwell. He was a member of the Willard Missionary Baptist Church and a rising sophomore at Red Boiling Springs High School where he played football as an offensive and defensive lineman for the Red Boiling Springs Bulldogs. His coach said he was the ideal player – big in size, he moved well and was one of the strongest and most physical players on the team. Brandon was a good young man.
Survivors besides his father include: step-mother, Mary Jo Tidwell; sister, Brianna Tidwell; brothers, Nathan Carver, Bradley Tidwell, Ethan & Eli Brown; paternal grandmother, Penny Tidwell; step-maternal grandparents, Joe & Pam Lawrence all of Lafayette and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
