Faye Likens Gentry, age 72 of Lafayette and formerly of Clay County, TN passed away Sunday morning, January 20, 2013 at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Funeral services for Faye Likens Gentry were conducted Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN with E. C. Meadows officiating. Interment followed in the Whitley Cemetery. Her family and friends served as pallbearers.

Faye was born Monday, March 4, 1940 in Clay County, TN, one of eight siblings born to the late Abe and Clarice White Likens. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Lonnie Likens. On January 28, 1956, Faye married P. J. Gentry, who survives. Faye was a factory worker and a member of the Hall Creek Church of Christ in Indiana.

Survivors besides her husband P.J. of 57 years include: daughters, Kathy Pearson and husband, Tim of Crawfordville, IN, Deanna Gentry and her companion, Chris Kreglow of Lebanon, TN, sisters, Lovie York, Ladoga, IN, Mary Ann York and husband, Hershel of New Market, IN, Arlene McLerran and husband, Dudley of Red Boiling Springs, TN, brothers, James “Buddy” Likens and wife, Rosa of Red Boiling Springs, TN, Ancel Likens, Ava, MO, Johnny Likens, Red Boiling Springs, TN, 6 grandchildren and 1 step-grandchild, 8 great-grandchildren.
