Two adults were lifeflighted to Vanderbilt and one toddler was transported to MCGH after an accident on Hwy 52 Friday at around noon.

A 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser was headed west on Hwy 52 E in Lafayette, and slowed to turn into either NCTC or the car lot just beyond it. It was struck from behind by a white 2002 Nissan Maxima, which then veered off across the other lane of traffic and came to rest in the ditch beyond.

The two drivers were Jasmine Clark, age 18, and Debra Marquez, age 58. The two adults who were lifeflighted have not been identified yet by police, neither has the identity of the child or the names of any other passengers.
