Thirty-eight students from Macon County High School traveled to Tennessee Tech University on April 9 to compete in the Tennessee Math Teachers Association's (TMTA) 63rd annual state competition.

Of the 314 students competing, three students from MCHS placed in the top 10 in their divisions.

Dillon West placed seventh in the geometry division, while Isiah Scott took eighth place in the statistics division. Dakota Moye won ninth in algebra II.

The following students from Macon County High School also placed among the top 25 of their divisions: Allie Cliburn, Kaitlyn Driver, Jalynn Gregory, Eli Hale, Nathen Rosasco, Wes Talley and Clay West.
