The AT&T Foundation is contributing $21,000 to HOPE Family Health, an organization focused on improving access to medical and mental health care for vulnerable populations in Middle Tennessee. This contribution will enable HOPE to expand their behavioral health telemedicine program to address the need for specialized services for low-income, uninsured individuals in rural Tennessee.

"It can be difficult to reach those in rural Middle Tennessee in need of behavioral services, which makes our telemedicine program so important, and through the support of corporate citizens like AT&T, we are better positioned to maximize impact for those in need," HOPE Family Healthy co-founder and CEO Jenny Dittes said.

HOPE Family Health was founded in 2005 with the mission of providing affordable medical and mental health-care to all regardless of insurance status and ability to pay.

"Initiatives like HOPE Family Health's telemedicine program are an important part of our community and help ensure Tennessean's have the health care resources they need," House Majority Leader William Lamberth said. "I'm thrilled to be involved in such a worthy endeavor and commend the HOPE Family Health and AT&T for their dedication to families throughout our region."

AT&T Tennessee Director of External and Legislative Affairs Dennis Wagner added, "We are very excited about the opportunity to help Hope Family Health Services expand its capacity to support Tennessee families. Our company has a long heritage of supporting the communities we call home and this telemedicine program will help ensure Tennessee's most vulnerable citizens receive the services they need."
