A Lafayette man was arrested after allegedly threatening his mother while naked and attempting to fight deputies while tearing the prongs from a taser from off his chest.

Brandal Allen Stafford, 40, faces multiple charges following the incident, which took place on last Thursday.

According to the arrest report, Macon County Sheriff's Office deputy Dylan Gann was dispatched to a residence in response to a report of two individuals arguing.

Upon his arrival, Gann spoke with the victim, who reportedly stated that Stafford was in the residence naked, threatened to hit her and caused her to fear for her life.

Officers began approaching the residence, at which point Stafford allegedly walked through the yard screaming at them.

The report states that deputy Aaron Shipley attempted to handcuff Stafford after he refused to stop screaming. Stafford then allegedly began jerking his arm away and attempted to attack Shipley.

Gann then deployed his taser, and Stafford allegedly tore the prongs from his chest and kept approaching the officers before he was tased a second time by Shipley and placed in custody.

Stafford was charged with domestic violence, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

His bond was set at $4,000, and his court date is slated for Sept. 25.
