A Lafayette man was arrested after an alleged sale of drugs.

Robert Alan Phillips Jr., 30, faces a series of charges following the incident, which took place on Nov. 25.

According to arrest reports, there was a controlled buy of what was believed to be 1.01 ounces of methamphetamines from Phillips on that date from a Taurus Farms Road residence in Lafayette.

Shortly after the purchase, Macon County Sheriff's Department Detective Jacob McClard and other deputies executed a search warrant at Phillips' home.

Inside of Phillips' bedroom, there were multiple items of drug paraphernalia found, in addition to 10 grams of a leafy substance that is believed to be marijuana. A loaded syringe of methamphetamines was also found, as well as some pills that classify as a legend drug.

After speaking with Phillips, he took the deputies behind his home where some type of mushrooms were found, which classify as a schedule I narcotic.

Phillips is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, manufacturing of narcotics, possession of a schedule I substance, possession of a schedule VI substance, possession of a legend drug, and the manufacture, delivery, sale or possession of methamphetamines.

His bond was set at $54,000, and his court date is slated for Dec. 18.
