Lafayette 13-year-old Maddox Crowder is ranked fourth in the world by Junior Golf Scoreboard.

Lafayette 13-year-old Maddox Crowder has risen to a world ranking of No. 4 for the class of 2025 by Junior Golf Scoreboard.

Two golfers from Thailand -- Bangkok's Rachanon Chantananuwat and Phuket's Poomrapee Kaewpiboon -- hold the top two spots, and Tip Price from Greenville, South Carolina, is ranked third.

Among the state rankings, Crowder sits ahead of two Memphis golfers, second-ranked Cooper Solberg and third-ranked Wils Moore.

In June, Crowder -- a rising seventh-grader at Macon County Junior High School -- won the Tennessean/Metro Parks Schooldays Golf Tournament's 12-13-year-old division for the second consecutive season.

Since then, Crowder has placed second or better in three Sneds Tour events.

He produced a two-day total of 139 (70-69) to win the 13-15-year-old division of the Masters two-day event held from June 17-18 at Franklin's Old Natchez Country Club.

After that, Crowder placed second in two others Masters series two-day events, at Dickson's GreyStone Golf Club from July 9-10 and at Murfreesboro's Old Fort Golf Course from July 11-12.

He also placed second in a Masters series two-day tournament held from May 28-29 at Oak Ridge Country Club.
