RED BOILING SPRINGS -- The Red Boiling Springs softball team suffered a 21-3, three-inning loss to visiting Upperman in the two teams' season opener on Monday evening.

The Lady Bees erupted for 13 runs in the first inning.

Upperman hit two home runs, including a grand slam.

The Lady Bees finished with 13 hits and took advantage of seven errors.

Lady Bulldog junior leadoff hitter Traley Dillard doubled and scored on Allison Deckard's double down the third-base line.

Dillard doubled again in the third inning and scored, after senior Kylie Birdwell was hit by a pitch and crossed the plate.

RBS produced just three hits.
