RED BOILING SPRINGS -- The Red Boiling Springs High volleyball squad bounced back from back-to-back losses with a 17-25, 25-15, 25-13, 25-18 win over visiting Jackson County last Thursday evening.

Senior Harlee Birdwell and juniors Liliana Hipolito and Jasmine Pruitte all produced two kills in the second game for the Lady Bulldogs, and Hipolito also had two blocks in game two.

Senior Haley Davis served up two aces in the second game as well.

Birdwell, Hipolito and Pruitte combined for seven kills in game three, and Birdwell and Hipolito combined for four blocks as well.

Hipolito also provided two aces in the third game.

Pruitte helped RBS close out the match by providing two kills and two aces in the final game.

Davis and senior Emma Rainey -- the Lady Bulldog setters -- provided 20 and 18 assists, respectively.

RBS improved to 2-3 overall and to 2-2 in District 6-A.

The Lady Bulldogs suffered a 25-11, 17-25, 25-19, 25-15 loss at Smith County on Aug. 26.

Davis, Hipolito and Pruitte all had two kills in the second game as RBS bounced back after dropping the opening game. Davis, Pruitte and Rainey all served up two aces in game two as well.

Hipolito, Pruitte and Birdwell combined for seven kills in the third game, and Pruitte also had three kills and two aces in the final game.

Pruitte finished with team-highs of eight kills and five aces, and Hipolito produced seven kills.

Davis finished with four kills, four assists and three aces, and Rainey provided 13 assists.

Birdwell had two blocks.

Then, RBS suffered a 25-22, 25-17, 25-15 loss to visiting Gordonsville on Aug. 27.

Rainey served up two aces in the first game, and Pruitte provided three kills in game two and two more in the third game.

Pruitte finished with six kills, and junior teammate Kylee Mendes provided four kills.

Hipolito had two blocks.
