Red Boiling Springs senior second baseman Maribel Mireles had three hits and drove in three runs in the Lady Bulldogs' 17-7 victory at Clay County.

CELINA -- Sophomore Jasmine Pruitte scored five runs and drove in four as the Red Boiling Springs High softball squad rolled to a 17-7 victory at Clay County on March 26.

RBS scored in six of its seven turns at-bat, including three four-run innings.

Pruitte had three hits -- a single, double and three-run home run.

Pruitte also picked up the complete-game win in the pitcher's circle, scattering 14 hits. She issued three base on balls and struck out five hitters.

Each team scored three runs in the first inning.

RBS junior Traley Dillard led off the top of the first with a single and scored when senior Allison Deckard tripled.

Deckard scored thanks to an error, and Pruitte crossed the plate thanks to a wild pitch.

Deckard led off the four-run third inning with a double and scored on Pruitte's double. Sophomore Reyna Ruiz singled to drive in Pruitte. Ruiz scored on a wild pitch, and Dillard singled in senior Kylie Birdwell for a 7-3 advantage.

RBS senior Kameron Clark singled in Pruitte in the fourth inning.

Clay County responded with two runs in the bottom of the fourth, but Red Boiling Springs added four more runs in the top of the fifth.

Dillard and senior Maribel Mireles drew walks, and Dillard eventually scored on a wild pitch. After Deckard doubled, Pruitte homered - her second of the season - to extend the lead to 12-5.

Mireles singled in Dillard in the top of the sixth, but Clay County scored two runs in the bottom of the frame.

Pruitte singled in the top of the seventh and scored on Clark's double. Ruiz scored later in the inning on a wild pitch, and Mireles singled to drive in Dillard and senior Chloe Kramer.

Like Pruitte, Deckard, Dillard and Mireles all had three hits, and Clark provided two hits. Dillard scored four runs, and Deckard crossed the plate three times. Mireles drove in three runs.

RBS compiled 17 hits.
